take the battery on acers that might help.
The adapter to the power cord and then hold down the adapter to the power button until it comes.
First off! I would more than love to help you because I am a pc technician! Allright! You had to power on your pc on safemode to get it to start! That means it had a problem in the first place! That problem could be the harddrive!
When a PC that has previously worked suddenly wont boot at all (nothing happens when PWR-pins are shorted on the mobo), it’s usually one of the four:
Maybe try and take the battery out and then plugging it back in!
Check the power cord as well as the adapter to the power cord and then hold down the power button until it comes on.
1. Bad powersupply (PSU) // Try shorting +5VSB to Ground (Green+Black) and see if the fan inside the PSU starts spinning.
2. Bad motherboard // Examine the motherboard for any blown capacitors and try CPU and PSU in another motherboard
3. Loose or bad wires/connectors. // make sure both ATX power connectors (20/24 pin and 4 pin) are proper seated on the motherboard.
4. Outlet doesn’t provide enough power. // Try plugging the computer in another room of your house and see if it will turn on.
Oh no! Maybe it’s the PSU! Well it might be any of these!
It could be any of those! How about u try calling Acer because if t’s under warranty they should repair or replace it!
Try unplugging the battery and plugging it back in, same with the power cord, use different ones if you have them. Depending on how confident you are with computers you could try resetting BIOS or replacing the power supply. Your best option is probably bringing it into a computer place, where someone whose dealt with similar problems can work on it.
